POWER RANKINGS

1. Eric  6-4
Eric comes in at #1 this week and it is well deserved. He took down our number one guy in Danny last week in stellar fashion, almost winning by 200! In the last 30 days, Eric is the only team that has 6 guys averaging 20 or more. And we can not forget the trade he just did with me that awarded him the high scoring Harden. Sure hope I didn't upset the balance of the league by doing that trade.
--------------------------------------

2. Ritter  8-2
I felt like I could of put myself #1 since I do have the best record and the most points scored in the league. But I also have the fewest points allowed and my team has not been scoring as well as they did early on.
----------------------

3. Danny  5-5
From first to 3rd in just one week. What happened to Danny's team last week? They kind of laid a egg vs The Herq Dynasty...  Danny still has a great team and he is the only team that has two guys averaging 30 plus over the span of last 30 days. But Paul also got hurt this past week and that will put a damper on his team as well as give Eric's team a big boost with Harden scoring 50 a game with Paul out(last 2 games).
-------------------------------

4. Duke  6-4
Duke is very solid and has a great team led by Westbrook. And he has been playing fantastic as of lately, scoring 166 points in last 4 games. He almost ties Eric for 6 guys averaging 20 a game. If Evans would raise his 19.5 avg a little then he would have his 6th.... I wouldnt want to play Duke any time soon.
----------------------------------

5. Gher  7-3
Gher's team would be ranked in top 3 had Vucevic not gotten hurt and is now listed as out up to 6 weeks. This is really bad news for Gher because Vucevic was a top 10 player in fantasy lately. But he still has Davis and Butler playing well so Gher should still be tough to beat this week and the coming weeks.
-----------------------------

6. Dalton  5-5
What a tough loss it must of been for Dalton. Losing by 7 and to me of all people. I say that bc I know Dalton wanted to beat me really bad and he almost did. It was Zach Randolph saving the day for me!... Dalton will always be a hard one to beat. He does have the best player in fantasy this year in Lebron. But he only has 3 guys averaging 20 or more over last 30 days. But Mirotic is coming on strong since he came back. So he might have 4 guys avg 20 or more soon.
------------------------------

7. Todd  5-5
Todd's team is suffering a bit with Whiteside and Curry being out for few weeks... Will he ever look to trade one of his big guys? I believe there is some good deals out there. Just hard to trade in this league and I understand that. If it is not Eric, Dalton, Matt or myself then trades really don't get done. But Todd has good trade bate at moment and he should look to make some deals. Especially Jordan! He is playing super great and there is talk of him getting traded to the Cavs, if this happens I see Jordan's stalk taking a hit.
-------------------------

8. Nathan  5-5
Nathan did exactly what he wanted. 4 weeks ago he said he hoped he would just go 2-2 over that span with all his injury's. Well done Nate! But I did tell you that since you were playing Matt and Kapper in 2 of them weeks that you had good shot at hitting your goal lol.... Nathans team has struggled with injurys but his guys are starting to get more healthy. But he only has 1 SG and 3 guys averaging over 20. He needs to make a deal with Eric who has several SGs and not many PFs
--------------------------------

9. Matt  3-7
Matt's team is getting little better and he still has a chance to bounce back and salvage this season. We currently have 8 teams over .500 and that just cant stay like that for to long. But if Matt gets Booker back and few of his guys pick up there play then I could see Matt starting to get on a winning way.... I am starting to think that the trade of Durant is not working out for him. Simmons is only averaging 22 over last 30 days and Durant is at 30... Not all trades work out but damn they are fun to do.
--------------------------

10. Kapper  0-10
Well well Kapp, sorry man this just is not your year is it. Kapper only has 3 guys averaging 17 or more the last 30 days. This is probably a big reason he hasnt won. But a bigger reason would have to be his lack of plays each week. Not quite sure what is going on with that. But last week he only had 33 plays when his opponent had 37. Hopefully he will get his first win very soon because Micah Grimes holds record for worst season ever and I feel he should keep that status. Kapper does not belong in the same breath as Micah when it comes to fantasy basketball. So hopefully you get few wins and get things rolling soon.

Dalton must be plum tickled that Lebron had the best week we have seen this year. Too bad it came in a loss for Dalton. I take it back, he probably did not care Lebron had best week, since he lost.

POWER RANKING WEEK 10

I am doing the rankings based on how I think teams are performing over last 3 weeks and who looks like the best teams right now... I do not believe I am the number one team even though I have best record. So I will dive into each person and tell you why I think you are ranked were you are this week... And I will give you a bonus note, there are no games this Sunday on Christmas Eve. And it will be hard for everyone to use all 7 acquisitions through the week. So use them whenever you get a chance...... My next write up should come out on Christmas but if its a day late then I think you guys will understand.  Hope you all have a  great and wonderful Christmas with your family's.

1. Danny  5-4

Danny comes into number one this week after a monstrous 843 point week... Danny has averaged 758 over the last 3 weeks. He also leads our league in player average with a 18.8, that is almost one whole point over second place Gher. Danny is also the only team to have 10 guys averaging 17 or more over the last 15 days. And once again he is also the only owner that has 7 guys averaging 20 or more over the last 15 days. And last but not least, Danny is the only guy who has 3 guys averaging over 30 a game over that same time frame.... Hands down, Danny has the best team in the league right now. If you pay him this week (Eric) then I would not feel to confident.
-----------------------------------------

2. Gher  6-3

Gher has a very solid team and his team is really rolling well right now. Taking me down last week and giving me my second loss. Gher has to be stoked and ready for the weeks to come.... Gher and Danny are the only teams that have 8 or more players averaging over 17 a game over the span of last 15 days... It was actually kind of hard to decided if I should put Gher in front of me on rankings because my some of my numbers still beat his. But over the last 3 weeks he has a higher average then I do (739) and plus, he just beat me. So had to give Gher the nod on this one.... But one thing Gher has that know one else does is 4 guys averaging 25 or more over the last 15 days.
--------------------------------------

3. Ritter  7-2

I knew I couldn't  keep up this streak of winning. I was winning each match by a average of 125 points the last 7 weeks. Know way I was going to keep that up. Gher came out hot and had a great week. So there is no shame in my loss this past week.... Wait, I scored under 700! Yea that is shameful.... I have averaged just 715 over the last 3 weeks. That is good enough for 5th over that time frame. Not really looking like a top 3 team lately. Need to make a trade perhaps or just see what this week brings. Could bounce back vs a top contending Dalton team.
----------------------------------------

#4 Duke  5-4

Duke has a solid foundation with 7 guys averaging 17 or more over the last 15 days. He also has 6 guys averaging 20 or more over that time. His team is really hot right now and over the last 3 weeks he actually has the highest average with 762 a contest. You might be kind of surprised I put him in at 4th.... Here is why, few weeks ago he would of won his match but left 62 points on his bench. If he would of played them, he would of won by single digits... That win would of made him 6-3 right now and that might of shot him up all the way to #2. But if he is going to make manager errors like that, then I am not quite ready to put him in top 3. But maybe next week will be his week to get there.
-----------------------------------------------

#5 Dalton  5-4

Some times I wonder what Dalton's team would be like if he did not luck into getting Lebron lol. Dalton comes into 5th this week while riding a 721 average over the last 3 weeks.... Dalton also has a great argument for being higher in the rankings... His best argument would have to be that he has been able to get 15 more plays on the year then anyone else. Great manager skills! Dalton is always looking to trade and maximize his lineup week in and week out... This week he plays me and I am ready for his high volume of plays. It will come down to the higher player average and on the season so far I have Dalton beat by .9. But anything can happen and it usually does. Look for this team be a epic match.
----------------------------------

#6 Eric  5-4

There are only 5 teams that have 7 or more guys averaging 17 or more a game over last 15 days. I only have 6 and Dalton has 4 but yet Eric is ranked 6 and has seven guys averaging that much.... Eric has a very good team led by Cousins. But Eric only is averaging 678 over the last 3 weeks so it was hard to put him over any of the teams averaging 700 or more.... Also he plays Danny this week and unless he has a god awful week, Eric will have trouble getting this win. He might just want to go ahead and focus on the Christmas weekend. Most teams will have probably around the same amount of plays this week. So with Danny having a much higher avg then Eric, it just doesnt look good. But upsets happen, so dont give up.
------------------------------------------

#7  Todd  5-4

Todd is the last of our above .500 teams.... That is right, in a 10 man league we have 7 teams over .500.... That is pretty rare and I am guessing it will be last time we see that all season. But I could be wrong.... Todd came into these rankings #7 and not 6 because of Steph Curry... With him being hurt, Eric has the better team at this moment, with a .5 better player average... Eric also averages 678 and Todd 670 over the last 3 games. Making it really close between these 2.... We have 41 people averaging 20 or more over the last 15 days. Todd is just slightly below that average with 3. But once Curry and Whiteside get playing. I am sure will start being a super tough team to beat again.
---------------------------------------

#8  Nathan  4-5

Nathan has been hurting for sometime now. The pain is almost over and all his guys were coming back. Then Gobert goes down for another 3-4 weeks. So just to give you a update on the injury's to Nates team, he has Gobert, Draymond Green and Isaiah Thomas still out... This has caused Nathan to lose many valuable plays. But luckily he played Kapper last week and was able to get the win. But neither team scored over 600... But a win is a win, know matter how you get it.  But until Nathan only has one injured guy, I would not expect to see him get close to a 700 point week.... Also, Nathan almost fell victim of being 9th or even 10th on this list. Over the last 3 games, he has only averaged 541 which is worst then even Kapper. But he did just beat Kapper and that matters to me. So I gave Nate #8 instead of 9.
-------------------------------------------------------

#9  Matt  3-6

Matt is averaging just 619 over the last 3 games. That is bad enough to come in as 8th best in the league.... Only 3 teams have 5 or less guys averaging 17 or less over the last 15 days....Kapper, Dalton and Matt.... Matt also has 3 guys averaging 20 or more and only one team has less then that. So it is no surprise that team will come in as last... Matt is not 9th because of bad manager skills, he always uses his acquisitions and maximizes his plays each week. But his team just doesn't perform up to Matt's high standards. He is really hoping that Kawi Leonards return will boost his team. And I am sure he will. Look for Matt to be harder to beat in the coming weeks.
--------------------------------------------------

#10  Kapper

Well well well, Kapper is with out a doubt are #10th best team. I really do not think that he would argue this notion. Over the last 15 days he only has 5 guys averaging 17 or more and only one of them is averaging 20 or more... By far the fewest 20 plus average guys out of all the teams... He also is avg 562 over the last 3 games... Surprisingly there is one team below that mark..... But kapper changed his photo and name so a win should be right around the corner for him.... AND also Kapper, love the photo you picked haha.

Power Rankings Week 9

Match ups for Week 9
Plus Your Weekly Scoring Avg

#1 Ritter  701
 vs
 #3 Gher  670

This should be one tough match. Gher has been rolling lately and is coming off a week of being the second highest scorer. This week he has 4 guys playing 4 games. Tatum, McCollum, Johnson and Porter jr. All but one of these guys has been on his team for a while. So that should bode well for him. Only Kuzma is playing 2 games this week. But the way he has been playing. I wouldn't get rid of him.... As for myself. I have 6 guys playing this week who are scheduled for 4 games Lillard,Harden,George,Anderson,Rivers and Okafor. But I will admit that I do plan on dropping Anderson and Rivers for plays for tomorrow. But we will see what they do for me tonight (maybe).  My second best player Embiid is only one playing only 2 games.... It looks like I should get the nod in the pre game victory. But Gher could over play me since he does have a pretty damn decent squad..... Here are the weekly projections.

Ritter  42---756
Gher  40---716

---------------------------------

#6 Eric  673
vs
#4 Todd  659

Todd barely wins by 12 and Eric lost his match by 12. So it is only fitting that they play each other this week I guess... Eric comes into this match with a 14 better team average(damn that been crazy if it was 12 lol) but I see this match being even closer then that. Lets take a look.... Eric has 4 guys playing 4 games this week. Irving,Gordon,Ariza and Jackson... and only has Saric palying twice this week.... Eric made one move this morning to add Eric Gordon who is playing his old Pelicans squad or is it better to say he is playing his old Hightops for Higher squad lol. Either way it is a double revenge match for Gordon, will he shine or stumble when the lights are on him the most.... Todd will be losing a floater spot while Curry and Whiteside are both sidelined. That should hurt his plays you would think. Lets dig into it... Todd has 4 guys going 4 times this week. Drummond, Jordan, Parsons and Johnson. But he also has Covington and Ball only playing twice... I have crunched the numbers and both owners are projecting below the 40 plays mark. Meaning there overall totals will take a hit this week. But the plays are going to be very tight with these 2 owners. Here are my projections

Eric  37---636
Todd  38---634

----------------------------------

#5 Danny  683
vs
#9 Matt  616

Danny had the most points scored during week 8. Meaning he probably loves were his team is at right now... Matt's team took a hit early in season but looks to be coming to form here in the middle of the season.... But it appears that Danny has several more plays then Matt on the week, 4 to be exact. Will Matt be able to overcome this? Danny has 6 guys going 4 times while Matt has 4.. But it will set him back a bit with his stud Simmons only playing twice.... Matt's player average on the season is 15.9... But with Simmons playing twice and his number of plays set for 38, I believe he will raise his average this week. So he gets a higher projection then what his average would of had me believe. Here it is....

Danny  42---772
    Matt  38---646

-----------------------------------

#7 Duke  661
vs
#2 Dalton  679

Duke is loaded up on plays this week and I doubt he will use all his acquisitions. He has 7 people playing 4 games and it is most of his studs... Dalton should be very very worried this week. Even though I do have Dalton set to tie duke on plays this week. I still do believe that Duke gets the nod because he has guys like, Westbrook, DeRozan,Harris,Love,Horford, Valanciunas and Tyreke Evans all playing 4 times. But Dalton has 6 going 4 times and one of them is Lebron so that could be all he needs. This match should be close because I know Dalton will do anything to win.

Duke  43---752
Dalton  43---718

-----------------------------------

#8 Nathan  628
vs
#10 Kapper  613

Well if Kapper once to get a win, who better to play the the injured Victorious Secret team. Even though Nates team is healing, he still has 3 guys listed as OUT and one DTD... But this week Wall should be coming back around Wen or so. But he still has 4 guys going 4 times so that is nice. Nate will be able to get few extra plays that he hasn't been able to get lately.... But  lets see how Kapper is shaping up on the week.... WOW! I look at Kapper's team and all 3 guys I traded him are injured. Just crazy coincidence.... Kap has several guys playing 4 times this week and I could actually see him getting the win. Going to be tight but here are the early projections.

Nathan  40---688
Kapper  44---717

Floater System

Years ago when I started fantasy basketball, it did not take me long to understand that a floater system was needed to maximize my plays each week to give me the best chance of winning week in and week out.... The floater system is simply this: Having a few players that you are willing to drop day in and day out to gain extra plays with the 7 acquisitions you are giving each week. Pretty simple right? WRONG! Sometimes it is not that simple... I like to think that if a guy is averaging 14 or more then he can stay on my roster for a bit. But sometimes all of your players are averaging 14 or more. And in that case you have 2 options... The easiest option is the band-aid method were you just drop a guy quick and fast like a band-aid, don't take to long because it could hurt, just do it quickly lol. The other option, the fun option, is to make a 2 for 1 trade. But trading is very tough to do. That is another blog post for a different day lol... It is very important that we have at least 2 floaters each week to maximize our plays. If you can get to 40 plays with just one floater then that is OK to. But if you are able to get 43 or more plays in a week then I would say you would win about 80% of the time....
I have scanned everyone's rosters and found all the floaters and I will list them down below here shortly.

A floater could really be determined in several ways. Sometimes it is as easy as looking at the last 15 days and seeing if they are averaging 14 or more and if there not, then drop them for a play.... Did you know that there are 31 guys on all of our rosters that are averaging less then 14.0 a match over the span of L15 .... But there are 7 free agents that are averaging over that mark....
1. Faried  17.8
2. Stein  15.0
3. Poelti  14.6
4. VanVleet  14.6
5. Powell  14.2
6. Holiday  14.1
7. Valentine  14.0

Now Faried is the only one on waivers and I would suspect that he will get waived. Probably by Matt because he seems to use his waiver more then any of us(props to you Matt on that).
But out of those 31 on our rosters who are averaging less then 14. I would have to say that only 15 of them are floater worthy...I say that because some of these guys averages on the season kind of trump there 15 day average. For example Gobert for Nathan is averaging just 11.7 the last 15 days but on season is 20.5, know way Nate should drop him... I want to show you guys the 16 players who are playing under there potential at the moment and should either be traded, dropped or just simply prayed for in hopes they bounce back very soon.... Dropping any of these guys would actually be really tough I would think.

                 Last 15-----Season
   1. Gobert  11.7-----20.5
 2. Sabonis  12.9-----17.0
3. Fournier  13.3-----16.3
    4. Mello  11.9-----16.0
    5. Gortat  11.9-----15.8
     6. Lamb  11.9-----15.8
   7. Collins  13.7-----15.8
    8. Dragic  11.7-----15.8
   9. Kuzma  13.5-----15.8
     10. RHJ  13.0-----15.6
11. Hardaway  11.3-----15.6
12. Markkanen  12.4-----15.3
         13. Ball  13.8-----14.6
    14. Aminu  10.0-----14.5
    15. Randle  12.6-----14.4
16. J. Johnson  12.1-----14.3

Now based on what I have just showed you, I will list every team and how many floaters they have. But please keep in mind that I am just listing the number of players you have on each team that are averaging less then 14.0 over the last 15 days.... Some of them guys would be tough to drop. But perhaps some of them should be taken a long hard look at to see if they should stick around on your squad....I am only showing everyone this in hopes that it helps people make moves and to understand that it is OK to drop certain guys. Sometimes we all get to attached to a guy and it brings are average and even win total down. I like to think that I am good at dropping guys who don't play well for me... I am a what you done for me lately kind of owner lol......Example though would be Eric Gordon, sorry Todd, that is just first thing that came to mind. Todd should of dropped him weeks ago. But he finally dropped him today so congrats lol.
