Post All Star Break Write Up

It has been a long and competitive season. We are almost at the end. I decided to come up with a projection for what I think our playoffs will look like. 

This week we still have some uncertainties, can Kapper, Ritter or Nathan come back to steal the victory away from there opponents? It would appear that Andy is doing something that has only been done once before this season and that is, beating Dalton. 

Here is the layout for what Dalton can expect.. If he wins one more match then he claims first place and the $80 bounty that came with it. But if Nathan wins out and Dalton loses out. Then they will have a tie. Dalton is up 800 points on Nate so I would guess Dalton wins that tie. So about impossible for Dalton to not be #1, congrats on a fabulous season Dalton! You literally out played all of us (punt intended) 

But for our #2 slot and our last bye for week one of playoffs, will be a very tight race. So tigh thatt I have them both finishing season at 16-5 with Gher winning the tiebreaker and getting the #2 seed. A comeback on Eric this week would change those projections Nate. Better pull out all the stops. But either way. Gher and Nate, you two was alway In  top  3 all year. So we never had any doubt that you guys be in playoffs. 

For our #4 seed, Andy has pretty much locked that spot down. I don’t see him moving up or down. 4 should be his seed with a record of 13-8. What a great first season Andy has given us. Even after losing your second d round pick Oladipo your team still looks great and ready for the playoff push. Well done Mr. Snider or Detective Snider I should say. 

Our 5th seed should be no surprise. This owner has traded his way to the playoffs. Early in year he had a bottom of standings team. But 16 trades later he has put together a scary looking team. Very good job Eric! Know one in fantasy takes the gambles that you do. Some times they don’t pay off but for some reason they usually do lol. Well done herq. Your playoff berth is imanent.

For our 6th and final spot in playoffs, I give you a very consistent season owner who shows that each week you have to give it your all to beat him. Coming in at 6th should be, Kapper! With a big win over Ritter in Week 20 Kapper should ceil his playoff berth. But look for Ritter to go all out each and every week. So keep in mind this is just a projection.

Great first season to Steve who will probably just miss the playoffs with the news of Embiid sitting out a week. Steve is in a no lose situation and needs every victory. But his matchup with Nathan in Week 20 could ceil is fate. But with a victory could come hope.

POWER RANKING
1. Dalton  9-1
Most plays on season, best record and just flat out great owner and toughest to beat. All I can say is good luck when you face him.

2. Nathan  8-2
We all wish we could of had the head start Nate did to the pre season. Its yours to lose Nate, you should for sure make the top 3 and get paid.

3. Gher  7-3
Our defending champ really stepped it up last week. There are several teams that could win this whole thing and Gher has put himself at top of that list after last weeks showing.

4. Andy  7-3
Fantasy is not suppose to be about patterns. But I kind of knew Andy would go off and have a great week. I predicted it in my last write up. So this week should be a bad week for him. Make me wrong Andy make me wrong.

5. Kapper  6-4
Kap squeaked out the win last week vs Todd by only 12 points. Owning Lebron usually gives you a chance week in and week out. So look for Kap to be in the hunt all year. 

6. Ritter  5-5
Getting rid of Ayton and then he goes for 36,36,46 just flat out sucks. That is all i have to say about that. 

Playoffs
7. Danny  5-5
Right on the brink of making the playoffs, Danny will be fighting tooth and nail to get in. Owning Westbrook will certainly give him that chance. But he is probably mad he didnt make that deal to get Ayton after the week he just had. But then again he might be just fine with it.

8. Steve  3-7
Been a bit of a struggle for Steve these last 7 weeks. Injurys have hurt him dearly. He will bounce back sooner then later, lets just hope for his sake it isnt too late.

9. Todd  3-7
Keep trying

10. Eric  3-7
What a week he had, from the dump to the top of the mountain. Eric loves his team now. Lets see if he can make a run at the playoffs.

11. Duke  2-8
Probably wont make playoffs, prove me wrong.

What a high scoring week we just had, not by me though. I had second worst week as Nathan just destroyed me. But Gher, he had the 9th best week we have ever seen in our league. Eric who also had a great week, put up the 1st and 6th best days of the year. His team is certainly on the rise after making a blockbuster deal this week. And that is one thing I love about Eric, he is always trying and willing to make moves. This past week Eric saw his season average move up .6 on the season. That is really a crazy jump. Rarely do we see even a .3 or .4 jump this late in year.

As we approach Christmas we will see no games on Monday so our week will be a bit short and i project everyone might have tough time using all there acquisitions.

Week 10

Kapper had one hell of a week! And it was I who got a front row seat to the ass whipping. But don't go thinking that just because I got beat by 164 points that I had a awful week and all. I actually scored the 4th most points on the week with 691. Kapper just had a super great week. Best week so far of the year! Congrats Kapper!
While my and Kapper's match had 82 combined plays, the fewest plays in a match went to Todd and Matt who both had 33 plays. OUCH! Matt is known for his high use of plays but this week he failed to get many leaving Todd with another victory. Way to go Toddo!
One thing that happened this week that we have not seen before this season is that Dalton finally got beat. Way to go Duke! Now just have to hope you dont start a losing streak. Both you and Duke had a 15.9 average and it was Duke who got more plays then Dalton who is the KING of plays. Well done this week Duke!
Gher took down Eric by a staggering 192 points. I think Gher is trying to send a message to the league that he is still the champ and the run to the championship will most certainly go through him once again. We have all heard and received your message there ol champ.
With the third most points this week, Nathan is quietly became our 2nd best team in the league. Taking over Andy for that number 2 spot this week after his guys laid a egg in week 9... Andy seems to have a pattern of late and I want to dig into that a little bit.

Week 9

We have 8 weeks in the book and still know one has beaten Dalton. Well done there Mr. Utley...  My team started out 0-3 but has some how found a way to get to 5-3 while my 2nd round draft pick has been sitting on my IR. So besides my 5 game win streak and Dalton's 8, there are no other streaks accepts Steve's 5 game losing streak and Todd's 4 game losing streak. Steve's losing streak can be blamed on injuries and just bad luck. But Todd has just not been very active. Last week he once again had 0/7 acquisitions used (wont get many wins doing that). I hope this is not a end to the era of great ownership from Todd. But until he steps up and starts trying little harder it would appear he has checked out.... Speaking of Todd, we have a new owner for the record for worst week of all time. ERIC scored a whopping 402 on just 32 plays last week to take home the record. Lets hope he bounces back this week. None of us want a team scoring that low week in and week out.... 2 teams have stood out so far this year. Dalton and Snider. Dalton for the obvious reason that he is undefeated. Snider is considered 2nd best team not only for his record but because he has had 3 highest scoring weeks so far. That passes Kapper and Todd who have 2 and who have been in the league for many years. That was shocking news to me when I went and updated the stat. Congrats Andy on making a solid mark in your first year of Fantasy Basketball.

Danny has a very solid team up and down with 3 twenty avg guys. I have to believe that 3 is the average throughout the league. I have 5 but one of them is on my IR... This should be a pretty good battle between our 6 and 7 ranked teams. Danny has to want this win very badly since I am ranked higher then him and have one more loss then he does :)

2 buddys go head to head this week. One is known for high plays and one is known for high average. But this year Matt only has 6 more plays then Duke. So this match-up is unclear on who the favorite is. Guess it is Matt since Duke is 0-5 but Duke just put up the second most points last week but fell short to the guy who scored the most points last week. Duke's team is putting some good points up so I would expect Matt will have a tough time. But I never count Matt out. He is a super active owner and your LM loves super active owners. So lets hope this match comes down to Sunday so we can see some fireworks. I get the popcorn ready.

Eric has been struggling so far and it could be because he is kicking so much ass in his football leagues still. But he has tried to make some trades and shake up his team. Trading Lebron might not of been the best move though. We shall see.... Steve on the other hand decided to just take the loss last week because he had so many injuries and did not want to hurt his team by dropping the wrong people. I say he made the right move. Probably would of had trouble getting the win last week vs Dalton anyway. He is #1 for a reason. But Steve is still injured this week so will Eric take advantage of that? Lets wait and see!

Gher has a good team. Solid from up and down! If you notice his top 5 guys. They cover all positions, from guard to center. Well balanced team. Kapper on the other hand has a lot of big guys doing well like my team does. But he also has Lebron! Lebron can take almost any NBA team to the playoffs but can he take any fantasy team to the playoffs as well? I think the answer is YES. Kapper will ride his number one player hard in hopes of a playoff berth this year. And on a side note, did anyone think Ibaka would be this good?

He got the number one pick, he also was our pre season number one.  With the most plays on the year Dalton has just been crushing his opponents. But this could come to a end this week as he faces Nathan and his team of 2nd, 3rd and 4th round draft picks. Nathan has made good of his early pre season trade he did with Eric. I have to believe that has not panned out so great for Eric. Nathan on the other hand has a very solid team that could put up the most points in any week..

What a great addition Andy has been so far. We dont like shitty owners and Andy is nothing close to that. He has already had 2 weeks with most points scored and last week he was third. With a very solid team from top to bottom Andy will be very hard to beat. This week he is facing Todd who's team had a lot of plays last week while using very few acquisitions. I feel that this week his team might not have as many plays since they had so many last week. Seems to work like that. I have not done the math yet but I bet Andy has more plays then Todd this week... Also about Todd's team. He acutally has a very solid top 5 with Siakam rounding it out. He has been a super great add for Todd for last few weeks. But Joran's game has been on quite the decline. Curious to see if he will bring it back up or stay where he is. Also feel that way about Harden but Mello might of been hurting him and they got rid of Mello so look for Harden to take off with his 30 average that we all have been used to.
